Previous studies have shown that the size of someone's pupil can communicate something about the emotional state of a person. While obvious emotional expressions grab our attention, we do not yet know whether this is also true for these subtle emotional expressions. In this study we aim to investigate this by testing whether contracted or dilated pupils grab our attention more compared to intermediate size pupils.
